Water temperature, level and discharge for Swiss rivers and lakes — in one place
FlowFlow brings together readings from 289 monitoring stations on Swiss rivers and lakes: current water temperature, water level, discharge in m³/s and turbidity, updated every 10 minutes. Whether you're checking lake temperatures before a swim, watching river levels for kayaking or fishing, or simply wondering how high the Aare is running — it's all at one address, free and without signing up.
The data comes straight from official sources: river levels, discharge and water temperatures from the Federal Office for the Environment (BAFU), weather from MeteoSwiss, and for lakes without their own temperature sensor, surface temperatures from Eawag's Simstrat model. Plus the official BAFU flood danger levels whenever a station crosses the thresholds.
